We are needing some volunteer help from those that would like to help out their local paddling club for the following events:
- JAMES RIVER BASIN PARTNERSHIP RIVER JAM! – June 10th (SATURDAY) • 2pm – 10pm • Finley River Park in Ozark, MO • Live music, crawfish, local beer, AND MORE! • Hosted by JRBP & KY3 • Visit www.jamesriverbasin.com for more details on this event. OMP will have a booth present and we will need people to help talk to those interested in the club and to promote our raffle boat and ticket sales. We will also need some safety boaters to assist with patrons interested in demoing kayaks & other water crafts available to paddle. - 20TH ANNUAL JRBP RIVER RESCUE (CLEANUP) – June 17th (SATURDAY) • 8am – 1pm • James River (section TBA) YOU MUST PRE-REGISTER FOR THIS EVENT! • Cost to participate is $15 per person and includes shuttling, lunch and a collectible River Rescue t-shirt. • Visit www.jamesriverbasin.com/th_event/river-rescue17 for complete details and to pre-register. - FLOAT FOR INDEPENDENCE – June 25th (SUNDAY) • Niangua River • Join us as we take a group of special needs kids down the Niangua River for a fun day of paddling, squirt gun fights, and heart warming memories! - DNA FLOAT – July 19th (WEDNESDAY) • James River (Kerr Access to Galena) • we would love to have you out for the DNA float. We have a lot of new kids in the club this year and this will be their first time ever in a boat. If you can attend you will personally take a child on their first every canoe trip in the Ozarks. We are also looking for people to sponsor floats for August and September. All you have to do is tell David Jackson your name, your contact info, and the river and section that you would like to float and he will mark you down as the host, put the event on our quarterly calendar cards, and post the event on our website & Facebook pages.
