July Float on the Buffalo!

by Ozark Mountain Paddlers on July 11, 2021

On July 17th-18th (SATURDAY & SUNDAY) , join your host, Terri Bradley for a gravel bar overnighter float on the Buffalo River (Spring Creek Access to Rush Landing = 13.6 miles)!

We will meet at Spring Creek Campground at 10am on Saturday, July 17. The plan is to drive all the vehicles to Rush Landing and (hopefully) all ride back in one vehicle. We will then put on the water and paddle down past Buffalo Point and find a gravel bar to set up camp. Terri is bringing chicken fajita meat for the Saturday dinner. Please contact her to let her know if you want to share the meal and volunteer what you would like to bring to go with that. Sunday morning we will have a leisurely breakfast, break camp, then paddle out to Rush Landing. The total length of this float is 13.6 miles. It will be crowded both in the parking lots and on the river so please carpool if at all possible.

Please contact Terri Bradley at 417.860.1449 if you are planning on going.

***NOTE: If they get rain in the area, the put-in might be changed to Dillard’s Ferry (Hwy 14 bridge) in the last couple of days before the float. Stay tuned to the website/this post for any updates.***
