Probably the most common questions we get submitted are “….I’m planning a trip….what’s the [insert river name here] like on [insert section here]?”

Missouri Ozark Waterways by Oz Hawksley
The best thing we can recommend to our members is that they pick up a copy of both of these books. You’ll spend less than $20 for both of them and then you will have all the information we have, outside of a few personal stories. The books will provide:
- maps with access road information
- descriptions of the rivers at different levels
- cautionary information relating to rapids, access, etc.
- and more…

A Paddler's Guide to Missouri
You can purchase this book locally at Ozark Adventures and Dynamic Earth. There may be a few other places, too, including Bass Pro Shops. If you’re really getting into paddling, these books will prove to be a loyal companion.
