Jacks Fork Float on Saturday!

by Ozark Mountain Paddlers on April 8, 2015

f74_03If the trip to Fisher’s Ford isn’t your forte, there is another option on April 11th (Saturday).  Craig Hesington and friends are panning a float on the Jacks Fork (Bay Creek to Alley Spring – 5.8 miles).  This river will get closed down by the National Park Service for your safety if the water is too high (5.3ft > on Alley Spring Gauge – CLICK TO VIEW CURRENT READING).  There is rain in the forecast for most of this week, so be sure to CHECK THE USGS GAUGE before committing to this float.

If you still want to join and the level looks good, please meet at the Alley Spring River Access by 10am on Saturday, April 11th.

Contact Craig Hesington NO LATER THAN THURSDAY EVENING at 417.693.1618 for more info.  He will be heading down to the river Friday morning to camp.  See you there!
