The clinic will teach the basics of paddle strokes, boat control, safety and trip planning. The clinic will be taught on the James River from 9:00 am till around 5:00 pm. August 14, Thursday. OMP Gear Swap. Location to be determined. Check back here as the event gets closer.

August 23-24, Saturday/Sunday. Dog Days Float. Join us on the beautiful Bryant Creek for the third annual Dog Days Float. What better way to celebrate the mid-summer mind-altering heat than spend a weekend in it? Think of it as a 36-hour sauna marathon session. We will launch Saturday from Hodgson Mill on our way to Warren Bridge with frequent cool beverages and relaxing dips. Sunday we'll top it off with a group swim in the cool (icy?) waters of Brixey Spring. Contact Jason Frantz at or call 417-379- 2229.
