Float for Independence!

by Ozark Mountain Paddlers on June 16, 2016

DSCF1247The Float for Independence is happening Sunday, June 26th on the Niangua River! You won’t want to miss this one! Get out your squirt guns and get ready for some fun in the sun with the “kids”!   What a blessing it is to be involved in this very special float trip for some very special people. Over the years we’ve watched the skills of these developmentally challenged individuals go from not even knowing how to hold the paddle, to not really needing us in the back of the canoe. Makes it easy when all you have to do is steer!  We’ve watched their confidence increase over the years both in the canoe and in the water.

If you are free on Sunday, June 26th and want to have loads of fun on the water with some extraordinary people, give me (Terri Bradley) a call, or email.  Everyone who has ever had the experience of this float has said it has enriched their lives.  Due to the nature of this float and for the safety of the participants and volunteers, you must contact me and let me know of your desire to participate.

For more details or to volunteer contact Terri at:  terri_bradley@att.net or 417-860-1449
Hope to see you all on the river!
